Inflammatory Bowel Disease is ulcerated colitis or Crohn’s Disease. Ulcerated colitis is ulcers or abscesses that happen from inflammation of the mucous lining. Crohn’s Disease generally occurs in the smaller intestine (ileum) or within the large intestine from spreading inflammation. Scar tissue develops as they heal which narrows the passageway. Transit time is reduced which outcomes in weight loss and malnourishment.
